About the Training

Why Choose Inner Flowing & UNI Yoga Academy for Online Qigong Training?

Seb is a dedicated Qigong teacher with over two decades of training in Asian healing arts, a qualified Therapeutic Thai Bodywork therapist and instructor, and also holds a certificate in Advanced TCM Reflexology. He brings a working knowledge of Traditional Chinese Medicine as it relates to energy work, the meridian system and the body's energy lines, grounded in years of direct practice rather than theory alone.

Since 2010, Seb has trained intensively with Qigong masters across Mainland China, Hong Kong, Japan, Indonesia, Thailand and Scotland, and has gone on to lead Qigong groups in Tokyo, Vienna and Seoul. He is the lead instructor of the 200-Hour Online Qigong Teacher Training.

Jenny is 500-hour certified with Yoga Alliance and has been teaching Yoga at UNI Yoga Academy in Vietnam, with particular focus on Restorative and Therapeutic Yoga. She is also a gifted Sound Healer with extensive experience. Within the 200-hour Qigong Teacher Training, Jenny teaches Qigong alongside Seb and also takes on selected elements of the TCM and practice curriculum.

Over the past decade, Jenny's tireless work in bringing high-precision Yoga and related practices to Vietnam has built a strong and loyal community there, and it is from this community that experienced Vietnamese Yoga teachers and Qigong practitioners regularly join the training. This Qigong course is delivered bilingually, with the Vietnamese-language delivery ensuring that every part of the material is received in full clarity and depth.

Both teachers have taught at senior tutor level in their respective fields: Jenny at UNI Yoga Academy in Vietnam, and Seb at the Traditional Thai Massage Association Japan and at the Shivaga Traditional Medical School in Japan, where he taught Therapeutic Thai Bodywork, Reflexology and Qigong.

Seb also holds a Raja Yoga Teacher certification in the tradition of Sri Yogacarya Ajita, obtained in South Korea through the International Yoga Federation Asia. Jenny and Seb share a spiritual grounding that quietly informs the deeper dimensions of the training, as far as any mundane practice can reach.

Seb is patient and unpretentious in his teaching, and holds a learning space in which sincere students feel supported at every stage of the journey. The Traditional Chinese Medicine content delivered by Seb, with selected segments taught by Jenny, is serious and honest in its substance while remaining clear, practical and accessible to trainee teachers from varied backgrounds.

Seb's teaching rests on authentic forms practised with care and precision, and on the internal dimensions that give Qigong its real substance. Students learn to feel Qi moving within the body and in connection with the wider Universe, to preserve Jing in its sense of vital Essence, and to cultivate Jing as Willpower, so that it can steady the Yi and lend it the strength to direct and project Qi where it is needed. From that foundation, the work gradually opens toward Shen, which is progressively refined and raised through the forms belonging to Spiritual Qigong.

Shen is understood here as the most refined expression of Qi: the aspect that touches consciousness, mind and what may be called the Higher Self, although still within the container of consciousness as observed through the body. As the practice matures, its vibration lifts, and with it a clearer sense of oneself, of the Qi animating body and mind, and of others, as awareness is no longer confined to the physical frame. Over time, a quiet channel to the Higher Self begins to open, and with it the possibility of an honest inner dialogue.
