Bagua Chun Gen Qigong

Bagua Chun Gen Qigong is a set of eight exercises that grew out of the Bagua, the eight trigrams at the heart of Taoist cosmology. One thing to clear up straight away: this is not Baguazhang. There is no circle walking here. Bagua Chun Gen is a completely different practice - a Qigong set that shares a philosophical root with the martial art but nothing of its method.

What sets this form apart is its reach. It opens energy gates that rarely get a mention in mainstream teaching, and its movements work acupuncture points along all of the meridians. Few sets of this size cover so much ground, which is why it is such a versatile practice to own for life.

The movements, though, are only the visible half of the work. Anyone can copy a shape from a video. What turns choreography into Qigong is what happens inside: the intention (Yi) that guides the Qi, the quality of attention that lets you actually feel what is happening, and the tangible feedback that builds your skill from one practice session to the next. That internal work is the core of this course, taught one to one by Seb.

What You Will Learn

How the Course Runs

Eight live one-to-one sessions of 60 to 90 minutes each
Taught over Zoom, Microsoft Teams or Google Meet
Completed within four weeks of your first session, normally two sessions per week
Your course starts when you do - times arranged flexibly around your schedule and time zone
Deliberate breathing room between sessions so you can actually practise, not just accumulate material
Assessment is ongoing: you demonstrate, faults are corrected in real time
All teaching is live, with full-length posture checks - this is one-to-one tuition, not a video course
